Japanese Company Plans To Build A Space Elevator By 2050

By 2050, a space elevator will be finished, according to the Japanese company Obayashi. The elevator will carry people and cargo to a new space station for a distance of 96,000 kilometres (60,000 miles). Additionally, it will act as a port for astronauts heading to Mars and other planets.

Laying the cable and constructing the facilities are both parts of the construction process. To determine the characteristics of the cable, counter-weight, facilities, and climbers as well as to design the building procedures, an analysis of cable dynamics is necessary.

The tension, displacement, and lengthening of the cable caused by ascent climbers, counterweight and cable masses, wind, and stationary facility loads are all considered cable dynamics factors. We used a computer simulation of the equations of motion to develop the system and determine the construction process. Obayashi, Mr.
